HELP Ipod changing lock text problem?

Well, I tried to change the text for instead of being "Slide to unlock" to be something else..I tried using iFile and it still didnt work, now the bar is blank and it doesnt say anything on it even when I returned and put in what it originally said. And I changed between the quotations (and after the equal) of where it said "slide to unlock"; in the English folder for springboard.strings. And I tried to edit the slide to turn off bar too, and it is blank as well...
