Can you generate a graph with OpenOffice Calc?

Is it possible to generate a Cartesian graph with OpenOffice Calc? I know you can make two columns with x and y values and just plot that into a graph, but is there a way of generating the graph of a function (like y=2x or y=lnx) for a certain domain without having to manually calculate ordinates?
