How do i get the radio in sims 2 deluxe edition to play MY music?

I've done what all the sites said, drag the music to the music folder in the ea games sims folder in douments. ive also done the next and wnt to the game, went to options and audio and it wasnt there. yes i put it in the pop folder. so what do i doo?? is there another way?
