Ipod Nano help? Lost and confused lol?

I have put photos on my Ipod just now and the manual setting is to add all folders to the Ipod? So when I plugged it into the computer it sync'd all of my photos, including some in folders that I can't find in my computer anymore.. Some from 4-5 years ago and while I want some of them, I don't want all of them (pictures of past love) so I tried doing the "Only selected folders" option, but it only does the current folders I have and I want some of the old folders on there too, is there any way to erase them from the Ipod without like having to go through Itunes? :(
